Pilates Assessment:

A Pilates assessment can be done prior to starting a class or individual sessions. The assessment is used to address any concerns you may have, when looking to improve an injury or to help you improve in your sport and general fitness.

We will look at how your muscles respond to certain movements, get a base line for your core strength, measure your joint mobility and address any poor postures and weak muscles.

Why have an assessment prior to joining a class?

Having an assessment allows you to outline your goals and make them more achievable. We will then be able to track your progress and re assess if necessary to see improvements and keep you on track and progressing.

If you’re brand new to the Pilates method the assessment will introduce you to the key elements and pilates ‘lingo’. It also allows the instructor to know you and your body so she can easily adapt you within a class setting.
