Pilates Consultation:
Consultations can be done prior to starting a class or individual sessions. The assessment is used to address any concerns you may have, when looking to improve an injury or on going pain to help you improve in your sport and general fitness. We will look at
- How your muscles respond to certain movements
- Get a base line for your core strength
- Measure your joint mobility
- Look at any poor postures
- Address weak muscles
Having an assessment allows you to outline your goals and make them more achievable. We will then be able to track your progress and re assess if necessary to see improvements and keep you on track and progressing.
Injury Consultation:
When coming into the clinic as a new client or an existing client with a new Injury, we always advice 45 minutes to assess your pain. It’ll begin with a consultation to get a good understanding of how the injury/ condition came about, followed by a relevant tests to pin point the cause of this pain, testing ligaments, joint movements, muscles, tendons and cartilage.
Don’t worry, you will not be asked to do anything that’s too painful for you, the assessment will be looking at where your pain originates from. The assessment time normally gives a little extra at the end to allow for some home exercise advice and a small treatment, you can then go on to book your follow up treatment appointments if needed.
