Different Sports require different movement patterns from a number of muscles and joints. Even though sport is good for us, it does put a lot of stress and strain on the body, resulting in sports injuries.
What is Sport Specific screening?
Sport Specific screening can help you improve performance and prevent sports injuries.
The screening process will always begin with an initial sports consultation so the athlete can outline their concerns and goals, followed by a series of joint, muscle and soft tissue tests, looking for muscle imbalances and joint hyper or hypo mobility. If required we will asses your gait analysis, this allows us to see your body in its full functional ability.
What do i get from my screening assessment?
A comprehensive report will be provided, which will highlight any issues that are causing injury or can potentially lead to injury. The report will include the results of your screening process, such as joint mobility, strength tests, muscle lengths, balance and sport specific techniques. The report will also outline recommendations for self management or our extensive team of physiotherapist, sports massage experts and personal trainers, will provide a tailored training/therapy program to fully achieve your goals.
